Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) announced the implementation of an extended weekend holiday starting Wednesday, April 8, 2026, across all stages and government schools, educational institutions, and nurseries until the end of the current week in place of April 22 and 23.
This comes "as part of a precautionary approach aimed at preserving the safety of students and educational field staff, with continued monitoring of developments in coordination with relevant authorities and keeping the educational field informed of any updates through official channels."
