A man who was injured in a shooting incident receives treatment at a hospital in Peshawar yesterday.
Islamabad: The death toll in the Peshawar firing incident has increased to eight after two more injured succumbed to their injuries yesterday, Pakistan’s Geo News reported.
According to initial reports, six people were killed and some injured after gunmen opened fire on a car in Matni area of Peshawar on Friday night.
Police said the unknown attackers targeted the car near Gulzar Chowk in Matni area around midnight.
Police rushed to the crime scene before the attackers could flee and engaged them in a gun battle.
Also on Friday, unknown gunmen killed seven people and injured four others.
Police officer Amir Shaheen said that the incident took place in Jasooki village when three gunmen on a motorbike sprayed five people with bullets at the residence of a local religious scholar Phal Shah after Friday prayers.
