DOHA: The Supreme Education Council (SEC) has announced that school dropouts among nationals and expatriates keen to continue education can join evening classes for grades seven to 12.
Registration began yesterday and lasts until September 30, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
Some Independent schools have been earmarked as venues for evening classes under the programme. People of all nationalities are eligible to register and there is no age bar.
However, for registration, people must produce documents, including original passport and identity card, along with their copies, two passport-size photographs and a copy of Kahramaa receipt.
They must also have valid residency permit and submit school leaving certificate from their home countries, attested by the Qatari embassy in their country. Those registered would get textbooks from the schools where they have registered after paying the school fee, the Education Institute at the SEC said in a statement.
