Doha, Qatar: The Official Gazette, in its Issue No. (15) of 2026 issued by the Ministry of Justice today, Tuesday, published the Decision of the Minister of Labour No. (50) of 2026 amending certain provisions of Decision No. (4) of 2015 specifying the controls of the Wage Protection System for workers subject to the Labour Law.
Article (2) of the Decision stipulates that employers shall transfer the wages of workers employed on an annual or monthly wage to the worker's account at financial institutions in the State, within seven days from the due date, via the Wage Protection System (WPS). A worker's wage shall be due on the first day of each calendar month.
The wages of other workers shall be due on the first day of every two weeks.
All competent authorities, each within its jurisdiction, shall implement this Decision. It shall come into force on the day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
