DOHA: The Advisory Council held Monday its weekly regular meeting of the 43rd ordinary session under the chairmanship of its Speaker HE Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi.
At the outset of the meeting, HE Secretary-General of the Advisory Council Fahad bin Mubarak Al Khayareen read out the agenda, which was agreed upon. The council then endorsed the minutes of its previous session.
The council discussed a draft law amending provisions of Law No. 17 of 2009 on setting up Qatar Ports Management Company and decided to submit its recommendations thereon to the cabinet.
The Advisory Council then discussed a report of the Internal and Foreign Affairs Committee on a draft law amending some provisions of the traffic law issued by Decree Law No. 19 of 2007 and decided to return the draft law in question to the relevant committee for further study in light of the discussions around it before submitting a supplementary report to the council.
