DOHA: Ooredoo’s Passport service scheme which helps customers keep in touch during their summer holidays overseas has witnessed stronger demand than ever before, a press statement said yesterday.
The scheme, available at QR100, provides value of 100 calling minutes and one gigabyte (1GB) of roaming data access in over 50 countries around the world which is valid for seven days from activation.
For customers on longer holidays, they can renew Ooredoo Passport an unlimited number of times once their validity expires.
According to the statement Ooredoo has seen strong take-up of the Ooredoo Passport service as customers book summer holidays, offering roaming rates and peace of mind for travellers.
With the service now available in more than 50 countries, including popular locations in the GCC, Middle East, Asia, Europe and North America, Ooredoo is seeing stronger demand than ever before.
Customers can check the list of destinations covered by Ooredoo Passport at www.ooredoo.qa/en/op.
Customers can subscribe to Ooredoo Passport in any of the covered countries at any time. Shahry customers can send an SMS reading “OP” to 114, while Hala customers can send an SMS reading “OP” to 121. Hala customers need a minimum credit balance of QR100 to use Ooredoo Passport.
In a new feature, Hala BlackBerry customers can roam with this money saving service. Roaming on Hala Blackberry can be easily enabled by sending the message “BBR” to 121.
If customers use up their Ooredoo Passport allowance during the seven-day period, then they will be charged QR1 per one megabyte (1 MB) of data, and for call QR1 per minute.
Hala Customers can check their remaining balance by dialing the shortcode *129*5# and Shahry customers can check their remaining balance by sending “Bal op” to 114.
