GCC Customs Union Authority launches ‘Taiseer’ system

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: The GCC Customs Union Authority has announced the launch of the 'Taiseer System', a centralized electronic system concerned with monitoring and addressing obstacles to trade exchange between GCC countries.

In a social media post, the Authority stated that the establishement of ‘Taiseer’ system is aimed at enhancing economic integration and facilitating the movement of goods between member states.

The launch of the system comes as part of the Authority's efforts to ensure compliance with the implementation of the Customs Union's unified customs policies, regulations and procedures, in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of customs work and improving the experience of the commercial community in the GCC countries.

The Taiseer system targets the business community in the GCC countries, allowing companies/institutions to easily and efficiently address challenges and obstacles they may face in trade exchange operations through a unified digital platform.

The Authority added that the challenges and obstacles are addressed automatically through specialists in the customs departments and authorities in the GCC countries in accordance with the approved mechanism..

It noted that the conditions for benefiting from the system include the company/institution must be based in one of the GCC countries and the company/institution must be registered in the system to benefit from the service.
