Quarter of Brits watched the Wimbledon final

LONDON: More than a quarter of the British population tuned in to watch Andy Murray become Britain’s first men’s Wimbledon champion since 1936, BBC figures released yesterday showed.
The British Broadcasting Corporation said Sunday’s final attracted a five-minute peak of 17.3 million viewers.
Murray’s triumph drew the highest domestic television audience for a Wimbledon final since at least 1990. AFP
