Doha: The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) participated yesterday in the International Forum on Non-Terrestrial Networks, which took place in Riyadh and attended by a group of an elite specialists and researchers in technology and investment from more than 130 countries.
The CRA was represented by a group of specialists and researchers in this field, who participated through remote video communication technology. The forum aims to promote and adopt innovations that will contribute to the development and diversification of the economy. It also helps to develop services that are expected to contribute in enabling the connection to the network for the unconnected people from all over the world.
The Governor of the Saudi Communications, Space and Technology Commission, Mohammed Saud Al Tamimi, stressed that space networks are effective in increasing coverage and linking hard-to-reach areas, and called for the expansion of their use in a responsible and sustainable way.
