Moderate Islamism in the Arab world

Despite the fierce media campaigns distorting the work of moderate Islamic movements and falsely accusing them of extremism...
Despite the obstruction of any meaningful work by moderate Islamic groups, who are associated with terrorism...
Despite the billions spent to abort the revolutions of oppressed Arabs at the hands of dictators, who have deprived them of a dignified life...
Despite the hiring of many writers to challenge the credibility of Islamists and their intentions...
In spite of the restrictions put on Islamic national figures who are opposed because of their affiliation with Islam...
I firmly believe that the future belongs to Islam, its supporters and followers!
The Muslim nation has passed through these circumstances in recent years just to prove and reveal certain facts that otherwise would have been hidden from the public; it wouldn’t be possible without this exact sequence of events that recently took place.
Events have proved that moderate Islamism in the Arab world, represented mostly by the Muslim Brotherhood, has principles that don’t yield to narrow interests. The Muslim Brotherhood movement has also proved its credibility. After insisting on respect for the people’s will during elections, it did not change its stand after its leaders were imprisoned, its youth killed and its supporters pursued in most Arab and foreign countries.
On the other hand we saw secular and leftist parties with liberal trends fall when they abandoned their principles because they didn’t serve their interests.
Our opponents see the future confined to worldly life, so their horizons are narrow and their views are focused on this short life. Thus they do everything to achieve worldly gains, even at the expense of human lives and moral values.
We, meanwhile, see this life as short in comparison to the everlasting hereafter, and it is only a harvest of the afterlife; and real success belongs to one who meets God with good deeds and a clean heart.
Even in this life we will eventually be victorious over our enemies. Remember, during the battle of the trench, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), in spite of his weakness and the struggle Muslims were facing against the enemy, told them that they would defeat the Persians, Romans and Abyssinians.
Ten years later, Omar delivered the bracelets of the king of Persia to Suraka, as promised by the Prophet (PBUH).
Today we lose and suffer, the same as our adversaries, but the difference is that we hope from God for what they don’t. We expect Paradise and its eternal bliss when we suffer in this world.
God Almighty has given humans the responsibility of looking over the Earth and doing justice, and respecting human rights and God’s laws. We have to strive to achieve that to the best of our ability; it will be wonderful if we manage to succeed, otherwise the everlasting hereafter is dearer to us.
