doha: Grand Mart group of companies launched their new brand of retail chain – SMILE — at W Hotel Doha. The event started with a logo unveiling ceremony by Sheikh Jassim Thamer Issa Al Thani (Chairman of Grand Mart Group, Qatar) and Mohammed Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Aziz Al Duaij (Chairman from theState of Kuwait). Vice-Chairman of the Group, Ashraf Chakarath announced the launch of Smile, on March 27, followed by a gala night. The store will be officially opened on April 16. Smile has also associated itself with a charity partner — Reach out to Asia (ROTA), for the event.
Vivek Verma, General Manager of the Group, said the Group has plans to add a total of 300,000 Sq. metre of retail space across GCC over three to five years.
