DOHA: People can now access details of plots of land or houses from the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning using a new online service the ministry has begun.
This service will prove quite handy for people buying land or property and those looking for exact locations of houses.
The Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning H E Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Khalifa Al Thani yesterday launched an upgraded website of the ministry.
Khalaf Ajlan Al Anzy, Director of Information Systems Management at the ministry, said that his management is keen to keep up with modern technology by providing a number of new electronic services in line with the latest versions of the software in the world.
The new website has new attractive colours, and pictures are more clear, in addition to easy of accessibility. The website in its new edition contains a redesigned section for employee affairs.
The website includes some new services such as search land by inserting on the website a Property Identification Number (PIN) to know details about a plot of land or property, its location, size, etc. The website has a special page to welcome new employees in the interface of the web, to stimulate employees.
Among important new services is online real estate certificate issuance without the need for a person to visit the ministry’s headquarters. The ministry’s licensing department will launch its website next month arguably with new online services.
