ANKARA:  Burkina Faso’s president has begun two-day official visit to Turkey, according to an official statement on Wednesday.

Roch Marc Christian Kabore arrived in Turkey at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said the Turkish Presidency Directorate of Communications in a statement.

All aspects of the bilateral relations and the opportunities to expand cooperation in various areas will be discussed during the talks to be held on Thursday at the presidential complex, the statement said.

The leaders will also exchange views on the recent regional and international developments, it added.

Kabore has been the first president to visit Turkey from the West African country of Burkina Faso, which currently holds the rotating presidency of G5 Sahel military alliance.
