DOHA: Doha-based architect and professor, Dr Thomas Modeen displays photographs he has taken in the Middle East at an exhibition which recently opened at the La Fontaine Centre of Contemporary Art in Manama, Bahrain.
Dr Modeen is a Finnish architect and current faculty in the MFA Graduate Program at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCUQ).

The images depict the peculiar quotidian details, shadow patterns, material textures, mini events and impressions that subtly diverge from the routine, and remind us about the subtle allure and subjective qualities inherent in our surroundings…”
Most of the pictures on display were taken in the Middle-East, including Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and UAE. The exhibition runs until May 20.
