Doha: Ooredoo yesterday announced that it had signed an ongoing agreement with several of The Pearl’s residential towers to provide superfast broadband and Next Generation Mozaic TV services to its residents.
Towers across the Pearl are being enabled to allow residents and businesses to connect to the fastest Internet speeds in Qatar, with the option to subscribe to sports, entertainment and news packages through Ooredoo’s Mozaic TV service.
“We are thrilled to be able to connect residents of The Pearl to our state-of-the-art broadband and Mozaic TV services.
“With the help of property managers and owners, we aim to provide all residents access to our life-enriching entertainment services by the end of the year,” said Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director, Community and Public Relations, Ooredoo.
Residential customers can now access the fastest Internet speeds — the 100Mbps plan — for QR650 per month, with basic packages starting at QR350 for home broadband, HD Mozaic TV and landline voice services.
With major sporting events on the horizon, Broadband subscribers can choose to have High Definition Mozaic TV services installed for QR17 per month.
Next Generation Mozaic TV offers hundreds of channels, including live news, sports, movies and children’s programming, as well as the ability to pause, rewind and record.
Ooredoo’s agreement has the Porto Arabia precinct connected, with other towers across The Pearl following shortly.
To get connected, residents and businesses need to visit the Ooredoo store inside The Pearl at 14 La Croisette, opposite Spinneys.
Ooredoo’s investment in delivering ultrafast broadband will continue throughout 2014.
In addition to expanding its fibre and world leading infrastructure across Qatar, Ooredoo is planning a sizable investment in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup 2022. The Peninsula
