DOHA: Tickets for the high-profile friendly between European giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Real Madrid to be held at Khalifa International Stadium on January 2, are now on sale.
It will be the second time the clubs have met in barely six months after Real emerged 1-0 victors from a pre-season friendly between the two in Gothenburg back in July.
The match will kick off at 5.45pm and will be a huge festival of fun for all families and football fans. Ticket sales start from QR100.
Tickets can be brought by visiting the following website: http://buy2.tickethour.com/parisvsreal.
The world’s most expensive player Gareth Bale is likely to play for his club for the first time outside Europe, and former Manchester United midfielder Cristiano Ronaldo will be among the global stars for the Spanish side, who are now coached by former PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti.
PSG, owned by Qatar Sports Investment, who will visit the Qatari capital at the end of the month, will likely bring a strong squad that consists of star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Lucas and Edinson Cavani.
It is not the first time PSG have visited Qatar.
The defending French champions held a training camp at Aspire Academy in Doha during last season’s winter break.
PSG played two-time Qatar Stars League (QSL) champions Lekhwiya at Al Sadd Stadium as part of the training camp plans.
Both teams are doing well in their respective leagues, and with the match being played during the winter break, players of both sides will be eager to gain match fitness before the second half of the season resumes, as well as showcasing their talent to the spectators at the stadium.THE PENINSULA
