Qatar Islamic Bank opens new branch at the Pearl-Qatar

Doha: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Qatar’s leading Islamic bank, opened a new branch at the Pearl-Qatar, as part of its expansion strategy to provide better services to the customers and seeks to attract new customers in all vital areas and strategic locations throughout the country. 
The new branch is conveniently located in MedinaCentrale City, Al Hamra Street, Gate 9, the town centre of the Pearl-Qatar and a hub for high-end amenities and facilities.
The Pearl Branch will be open Sunday to Thursday, from 11am to 6pm. Customers at The Pearl will be able to open a variety of bank accounts, apply for a suite of financing, debit and credit cards, discuss a host of Takaful services, and consult on other Islamic banking services with a specialised team of staff.
In keeping with QIB’s vision of offering its customers an immersive banking experience, the new branch is designed with customer convenience as a particularly singular standout feature. The open-plan layout provides more welcoming space, while the use of colours is so designed to add to a modern business experience and the branch is equipped with an ATM offering customers 24 hour service with access to all their accounts.
The opening of the Pearl branch brings the number of QIB’s local branches to 30, backed by over 165 ATMs all over the country. The expansion of the branch network is accompanied by advanced electronic services provided by QIB, such as online banking and the mobile banking application available on all smartphone platforms (iOS, Android, BlackBerry, and Windows), as well as the QIB call center operating around the clock. Moreover, all QIB services enjoy stellar security standards thanks to the measures put in place by QIB.
D Anand, General Manager of QIB’s Personal Banking Group, explained that the opening of the new branch goes hand in hand with Qatar’s substantial growth, which has prompted QIB to expand in the local market to offer banking services to its customers regardless of their location. Anand said: “The new addition will allow us to better serve our customers and enhance our strategic vision in terms of offering comprehensive banking services to people from all walks of life. Those services, coupled with our continuous investment in alternative channels, such as online banking, our mobile banking application, our Call Center, and IVR, help QIB provide a seamless banking experience and offer premium services to the customers.”
