Doha: Children under 16 year’s old are not allowed to enter QNCC, Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said in a notice posted on Twitter.
“For everyone’s safety, children under 16 year’s old are not allowed to enter QNCC as it is designated for the COVID-19 vaccination campaign,” MoPH said.
MoPH’s Pharmacy and Drug Control Department has currently approved the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine for use only for people aged 16 years and older and Moderna vaccine for people aged 18 years and over.
MoPH had recently announced a set of new measures to improve the entry and waiting process for patients wanting to get vaccinated against COVID-19 at QNCC.
To avoid exposure to the high outdoor temperatures and provide a safe waiting area for all, the center's main parking spots are now being utilized as a point of arrival at the vaccination center.
MoPH had stressed earlier that Covid-19 vaccine is only given to people who have received invitations to get vaccinated and who have met the criteria set forth in the framework of the national programme for vaccination against Corona.
People will receive an SMS showing the time and date of their appointment and must present their valid QID card when they attend. The vaccination center's operating hours are 7am to 10pm, seven days a week.
