LATEST UPDATE: Awqaf removes earlier tweet, to re-examine sighting of Ramadan crescent tomorrow
The Moon Sighting Committee of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs announced that crescent was not sighted today.
This came in a statement issued by the Committee after its meeting this evening at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, chaired by Dr Sheikh Thaqeel Al Shammari.
Deleted tweet: “Tomorrow, Monday April 12, 2021 AD, will be the completion of the month of Shaaban 1442 AH, and on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 is the first of the blessed month of Ramadan 1442 H.”
