Doha: Al Ahli Hospital organised a blood donation campaign ‘Donate blood to save a life’ as part of its activities servicing the community.
The campaign was held in collaboration with Blood Donation Unit of Hamad Medical Corporation, attended by donors, hospital workers, visitors and guests.
Dr Abdel Azim Hussein, Medical Director and Chief Surgeon, said the campaign aimed to raise awareness of the importance of blood donation and its benefits for the health of the donor and the beneficiary.
It was also part of events organised by the hospital to raise awareness about World Blood Donation Day which falls in June each year.
“The hospital will continue to organise blood donation campaigns on a regular basis to increase awareness of the importance of this humanitarian work, which brings great benefits to the donor,” he added.The Peninsula
