Doha: As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) agenda, Techno Q will host its third annual blood donation drive tomorrow from 8am to noon at its showroom on the Salwa Road.
The company has invited employees from neighbouring business to join them in support of the cause. The campaign is organised annually in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation’s Blood Donor Centre to coincide with World Blood Donor Day. It aims at raising awareness about voluntary blood donation, promoting values of civic responsibility, solidarity and giving back to the local community.
Zeyad Al Jaidah, Techno Q’s Co-founder and Managing Director, said: “The company has been supporting the centre for a few years and I’m delighted to see a positive response from our staff every year. It demonstrates the altruistic spirit of giving back to the community, that runs in our company.”
“We care about the impact of the way we conduct business on our community and one of the unique aspects of holding an annual blood drive is that it allows anyone in the company with a desire to help others, to make a lifesaving contribution that benefits accident victims, cancer patients, surgical candidates, children with blood disorders and others.” He said it is encouraging to see a good turnout. “I’m proud of all our staff that come forward to support the cause.”
