DOHA: Schools, ministries and government departments have started preparations to celebrate the National Day.
The Supreme Education Council (SEC) has sent circulars to Independent schools, asking them to start preparing for the National Day which falls on December 18, Al Sharq said.
The panel at SEC, responsible for organising celebrations and events, has asked schools to nominate students to take part in contests and send their details.
It has also asked schools to nominate supervisors for the contests and name the types of contests they wish to participate in. Schools have been given a week to prepare the lists.
