Doha: The General Directorate of Civil Defence conducted a fire drill at
Al Bidda Tower, the headquarters of Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, on Tuesday.
The operations started with the Civil Defence centre receiving information about a ‘fire’ on the 32nd floor of the building.
The fire rescue team in Wadi Sail rushed to the scene and ‘put out the fire.’ The employees were evacuated from the building and taken to the ‘assembly point’ through emergency exits.
The rescue team launched a ‘search operation’ and found three ‘injured’ persons. The ambulance team and Al Fazaa took part in the operation.
The drill was conducted as part of the GDCD’s plan to create safety awareness and train people to deal with risks during a fire.
