DOHA: The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) has begun its global search for outstanding young learners (aged 18 to 25) from diverse backgrounds and disciplines for the 2015-16 Learners’
Voice Program.
WISE is accepting nominations and applications for the new cohort that will join the global Learners’ Voice community until April 30.
The WISE Learners’ Voice Program brings the voice of young people to the challenge of rethinking education, and equips them to take on leading roles in their fields and in the world of education. The Program is based on the conviction that when learners are co-creators of their learning environments they become active participants, invested collectively as stakeholders in the progress of their communities. The Program focuses on building their knowledge of education and social entrepreneurship, as well as their leadership and communication skills.
“The WISE Learners’ Voice Program was a life-transforming experience for me. I had not come across a more holistic platform that allowed for like-minded and passionate youth to engage in intellectual dialogues on pressing global issues. Beyond these discussions, we were provided with a platform to apply the knowledge acquired through the Program’s trainings into the development of an innovative educational initiative”, said A’qilah Saire, Singaporean, 2013-14 WISE Learner.
Nominations and applications can be submitted online by creating an account and completing the official form available on the WISE online application system: http://www.wise-qatar.org/learners-voice-6.
