Doha, Qatar: Ministry of Education and Higher Education has introduced a set of updates to streamline student admission procedures, clarifying documentation requirements and easing entry process for certain categories of students.

The announcements were made in a press conference attended by school principals and relevant authorities from across the country.

Under the new measures, students entering Qatar on visit visas will be granted a two-month period to complete their residency procedures, with the option of a further two month extension.

In a move aimed at supporting newly arrived students, the Ministry stated that those who do not meet the approved age criteria may still be considered for admission based on their most recent academic certificates, provided they successfully pass the school's admission test.

Additionally, international students arriving without certificate attestation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be given a two-month grace period to complete the required attestation process.

The Ministry also raised the maximum permitted age for students with disabilities and learning difficulties in the country.
