A female elephant plays with her baby on World Elephant Day at Margherita Ketetong village in Tinsukia district of Assam yesterday. World Elephant Day was launched in 2012 to highlight the plight of Asian and African elephants with an increase in poaching, habitat loss, human-elephant conflict and mistreatment in captivity.
