Department of Meteorology warns of poor horizontal visibility tonight

Doha, Qatar: The Department of Meteorology has warned of poor horizontal visibility at places later Tuesday night due to misty to foggy conditions.

In its daily weather report on January 13, 2026, the department informed inshore weather until 6am on Wednesday will be comparatively cold with scattered clouds, becoming misty to foggy at places later.

Offshore conditions will also see scattered clouds and hazy areas at times.

Wind inshore will be southeasterly at 05 to 15 knots, while offshore it will be southeasterly at 05 to 15 knots, gusting to 20 knots in northern areas at times.

Sea state inshore will range from 1 to 3 feet, rising to 4 feet at times in the north. Offshore, it will be 2 to 4 feet, rising to 6 feet in northern areas.

Visibility inshore will range between 4 to 9 kilometres, dropping to 2 kilometres or less at places later. Offshore visibility will range from 4 to 9 kilometres.
