InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa is excited to announce the return of the highly anticipated Shahrazad Garden for a second year.

Offering an elevated and luxurious experience to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, this year guests will be transported to a stunning outdoor beach garden, where elegance meets tradition under a beautiful canopied tent set along the peaceful shoreline of the resort.

Shahrazad Garden will offer a unique dining experience, featuring an exquisite menu that blends Arabic dishes with international favourites. Guests can indulge in a variety of hot and cold mezzeh, succulent lamb ouzi, Arabic grills, and decadent sweets, complemented by live pasta stations, hand-rolled sushi, barbeque stations, and more, offering a rich and diverse culinary experience.

In addition to the extravagant buffet selection, Shahrazad Garden will be brought to life with captivating live entertainment, including oud players, tanoura dancers, and live musicians, adding an element of cultural richness to this special celebration.

The talented chefs behind Shahrazad Garden have meticulously curated this year’s menu, drawing inspiration from the region’s culinary traditions.

“Our goal is to create a feast that truly honours the spirit of Ramadan,” shares Chef Ali Al Sheikh, Oriental Chef. “Each dish is crafted with authenticity, using the finest ingredients to ensure a memorable experience for our guests.”

With over 20 years in the culinary world, Chef Ali Al Sheikh has spent the last 15 years at InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa. “My Lebanese roots strongly influence my cooking, blending traditional flavors with local ingredients. Ramadan is a special time for me, as it allows me to create dishes that celebrate my heritage while offering a unique dining experience for our guests.”

Arabic Pastry Chef Ahmed Abdelrahman, who has over 30 years of experience, adds, “I draw inspiration from international flavours and techniques, creating desserts that evoke a sense of home and warmth while honouring Lebanese tradition.”

“Our Iftar menu features warm, comforting dishes designed to nourish and satisfy after a day of fasting,” explains Chef Ali Al Sheikh. “We use fresh, seasonal ingredients and aromatic spices to capture the spirit of Ramadan. Dishes like Dawood Basha, Machbous, Lamb Ouzi, and Stuffed Vine Leaves with Lamb Chops, along with live stations like Shawarma, Shish Taouk, and Lamb Kofta, showcase authentic Arabic flavours.”

For those with a sweet tooth, Chef Ahmed Abdelrahman recommends Knefeh with Cheese and Ashta. “Alongside it, we serve a twist on the Egyptian Umm Ali, reimagined with Qatari dates and saffron, combining tradition with local flavours.”
