ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has decided to disassociate itself from pro-Taliban religious parties and terror organisations such as Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Sipah-e-Sahaba and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi to create its acceptability as a democratic party in the West and the US. The PML-N has been accused of being a sympathiser of pro-Taliban religious and terrorist parties. At the national level, it also faced criticism because of its association with them. The organisations were held responsible for terror attacks in Baluchistan, the Northern Areas and Karachi.

Since the start of the case, overseas Pakistanis had hoped to get good news.
