Sign language workshop concludes

Doha: The sign language workshop and classes organised by the National Command Centre (NCC) concluded at the centre. The training programme, which was conducted in association with the Qatari Centre of Social Cultural for the Deaf (QCSCD) for four months, was attended by 19 male and female participants from the NCC officers.
Col Saeed Hasan Al Mazroui, Operations Department Director and Ali Obaid Al Sinari, Chairman of QCSCD, ateended the convocation ceremony. Speaking on behalf of the chairman of NCC, the director of Operations Department said:
“The training programmes have grown as the basic pillars for capacity building and performance development, especially in light of the current and future figures that require more attention to human elements to carry out tasks and missions.
“The main objective of the programme was to improve the efficiency of emergency services in 999 and emergency service for the deaf in 992. Our ambitions to ensure security in all walks of the community will be held high and we put it in our priorities to certify the utmost safety and security,” He added.
Col Saeed al Mazroui and Major Hassan Muhammad Al Kuwari lauded the cooperation between NCC and QCSCD in order to develop the emergency services for the deaf.
Ali Mohammed Al Sinari expressed his pleasure for the high level cooperation of Ministry of Interior that helped skilled trainees to serve in terms of security services for the deaf. The trainers were honoured and certificates were distributed to the participants in the event.
