In an overwhelming gesture of expressing solidarity with the country's leadership, the Qatar Football Association (QFA) representatives and office-bearers yesterday gathered around to sign a huge poster of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Officials representing the Qatar Stars League (QSL) also joined in to unveil the "Tamim Al Majd" mural which was inaugurated at Al Bidda Tower, the home of football in Qatar.
QFA Secretary General Mansoor Al Ansari was one of the top officials to sign the mural.
Other office-bearers of QFA and QSL also participated in the gathering.
Some officials wished the Emir long life while many hoped for a brighter future for Qatar under H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's leadership.
