DOHA: Daniela Kolaga, Secretary-General of the Croatian Ministry of Culture visited the Katara Cultural Village yesterday.
He was accompanied by the Croatian Ambassador to Qatar Tomislave Bosnjak and representatives from the Croatian community here.
The delegation met with Dr Khalid Al Sulaiti, Katara’s general manager and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and cultural exchange.
They were taken to a tour of the various facilities at Katara. Al Sulaiti explained the aims of Katara and its role in promoting cultural relations and preserving the Qatari culture and Arab and Islamic traditions.
The delegation was also briefed on the various activities and future projects of Katara.
Doha: Real estate transactions in Qatar between November 3 and 7 registered at the Ministry of Justice are worth almost QR1.1bn.
The real estate registration department at the Ministry said in its weekly report that the list of properties that were traded by sale includes open plots of land, two floor villas, annexes, residential buildings and houses, which are located in the municipalities of Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Shamal, Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Daayen and Al Wakra.
Doha: The Ministry of Environment concluded activities of a two-week training programme on preparing new inspectors. The event was organised in cooperation with the Institute of Administrative Development (IAD) and was attended by 46 new employees.
The programme aims to provide trainees with the knowledge and basic job skills so that they can adapt and interact positively with the requirements of the work environment.
Director of the Human Resources Department at the Ministry Abdullah Mohamed Al Muraikhi said that the ministry is keen to find opportunities for rehabilitation and training for new employees in order to ensure their involvement.
