QA to display its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner at Bahrain air show

DOHA: In its first major event of the year, Qatar Airways will take part in Bahrain International Air Show from January 16 to 18, displaying one of its nine new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
The show at the Sakhir Air Base is expected to be attended by dignitaries and visitors from the Gulf and around the world.
Qatar Airways operates Boeing 787 Dreamliner on many of its routes from Doha, such as Oslo, Stockholm, Zurich, Copenhagen and London.
“We are delighted to display one of our new 787 aircraft in Bahrain, giving people an opportunity to see it and its impressive features. 
“Our 787s provide passengers with a unique travel experience with custom-built comfort features that are the hallmark of our five-star service across the Business and Economy cabins,” said Akbar Al Baker, CEO, Qatar Airways. 
The airline’s 787s feature 254 seats, 22 in Business Class in 1-2-1 configuration and 232 in Economy class with 3-3-3 layout.
Key features include an iTouch control unit, over 1,000 movies, programming and audio entertainment options, an iPort, USB port, remote data outlet, a custom designed culinary offering, plenty of storage space for personal items,  all available in every seat across in both classes.
As part of its aggressive expansion programme, Qatar Airways will launch routes to eight destinations this year: Sharjah (the UAE) and Dubai World Central on March 1; Philadelphia (the US) April 2; Larnaca (Cyprus) April 29; Sabiha Gokcen Airport (Turkey) May 22; Edinburgh (Scotland) May 28; Miami (the US) June 10 and Dallas/Fort Worth (the US) July 1.
In its 17th year of operations, Qatar Airways has a modern fleet of 129 aircraft flying to 134 key business and leisure destinations across six continents. It operates 49 flights each week between Doha and Bahrain.
