Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior has announced a temporary road closure on Doha Corniche this weekend.
The closure will be in effect from 10pm on Thursday, January 15, 2026, to 2pm on Friday, January 16, 2026. A complete closure will apply to traffic from West Bay near Sheraton Grand to Old Doha Port, including roads near Al Bidda Park, Amiri Diwan and Souq Waqif. Partial closures will also be implemented on certain parts of road leading to Corniche, as can be seen in the map.
The MOI stated that this road closure is due to the Doha Marathon and advised motorists to use alternative routes and follow directional signs.
