Doha: A popular Qatari convoy is set to head today to Al Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees in Jordan in a show of sympathy and solidarity with the Syrian people.
Ayedh Al Qahtani, General Manager of Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah’s Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF), which organises the convoy, said the initiative aims to convey a message to the Syrian refugees and the Syrian people that Qatar’s financial and moral support will continue in their difficult circumstances.
Speaking with participants in the Caravan of Love, Al Qahtani said that besides its solidarity and sympathy goal, the convoy will offer financial support for families in the camp.
