Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) has received donation from businesspersons belonging to the Pakistani community living in Qatar in the presence of the Pakistan Welfare Forum’s (PWF) members to support the Pakistani community’s fund dedicated to its low-income families and people, especially in the areas of education and health.
The receipt of the amount came in the framework of the fund, which was allocated by Qatar Charity for the Pakistani community in Qatar as of the holy month of Ramadan last year.
The first joint event was carried out by organizing a charity dinner in Ramadan, which was attended by more than 300 people from the community. Many officials of the Pakistani embassy, prominent businesspersons, and philanthropists from the Pakistani community participated in the event. Ali Al Gharib, Director of Programs and Public Relations Department at Qatar Charity, received donations from the Pakistani businesspersons in the presence of Ahmed Hussein, President of the Pakistan Welfare Forum and a number of its members.
Upon receiving the donation, Ali Al Gharib extended his thanks to the forum members, the Pakistani community, the Pakistani businesspersons and all the benefactors who contributed to the provision of this great donation, hoping that other communities will follow the example of the Pakistani community in organizing charity events to support low-income families and people in Qatar.
He added that Qatar Charity has already allocated funds to support the members of the communities within the country, noting that Qatar Charity is always keen to cooperate in this regard with other communities residing in Qatar in order to support the low-income segments of society.
