Doha: Officials at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change have said that the ongoing 9th International Agricultural Exhibition (AgriteQ) and 3rd International Environmental Exhibition (EnviroteQ) are witnessing huge visitor turnout.
They added that the two exhibitions provided an opportunity to showcase the ministry’s future projects and enhances the scope of expanding cooperation and exchanging expertise with local and international companies. They stressed that the two conferences witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the public and private sector in the agricultural and environmental fields.
Director of the Department of Agricultural Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality and Deputy Chairman of the Organising Committee Youssef Khaled Al Khulaifi stressed that the committee continues to implement all the precautionary measures to guarantee the safety of participants and visitors.
He added that the entry of visitors is done in line with the precautionary measures adopted for indoor areas, highlighting that the committee if coordinating with the Ministry of Public Health in that regard.
He pointed out that the exhibition witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Qatar Charity and the Qatar Red Crescent Society to support the project of distributing dates for holders of productive farms inside and outside the State of Qatar.
