Part of Kharaitiyat Street to be closed for six months

DOHA: The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ has announced that the section of Al Kharaitiyat Street heading north (between Izghawa and Wadi Al Salamiya) Streets will be closed for 6 months from Thursday, as part of the Al Kharatiyat Groundwater Lowering System – Stage 1.

Motorists heading towards north can use temporary alternative roads shown in the attached map, while the part of the street heading south will remain open to traffic. 

The project is part of Ashghal’s Loral Roads and Drainage Programme which includes more than 200 projects that will be delivered over the next five to seven years in all areas of Qatar.
