DOHA: Qatari Business Women Association (QBWA) is organising the second workshop of the Qatar Businesswomen Award 2013 which covers “Future Goals and Financial Plans”, one of the award’s criteria.
The first workshop on Leadership was run in April, and was followed by a rerun yesterday to enable more women to participate, as applicants who participate in the three Award workshops will be eligible to have their application considered for the Business and Professional Women’s Development Recognition Programme. This professional development qualification has been specifically developed for the QBWA and is accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM).
“We are very pleased with the progress and the popularity that Qatar Businesswomen Award is witnessing, and equally pleased to see this number of established women who want to compete for the award this year, which reflects the positive economic climate and the growth that Qatar is witnessing under the wise leadership of the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani,” said QBWA Vice Chairwoman Aisha Alfardan.
“Qatar Businesswomen Award goes in line with the objectives of the association through the ongoing efforts to recognise women and celebrate their achievements, and we continue to work towards providing women with skills they need which will practically help them win the award and ultimately improve their performance whether in their own businesses or their workplaces, and I would like to invite all women to participate and benefit this precious opportunity to review their performance and recognize their achievements,” she added.
