DOHA: The Indian Embassy will celebrate India’s Independence Day tomorrow. Ambassador Sanjiv Arora will hoist the national flag and read out the Indian president’s message at the premises of Indian Cultural Centre on Street No. 916, Wahb Bin Omair, Al Mamoura, at 7am.
Students of Indian schools in Doha will sing Indian’s national anthem and patriotic songs on the occasion, a statement from the embassy said yesterday. The embassy has invited Indians in Qatar to the ceremony.
The embassy also announced that it will remain closed on August 18 on the occasion of the festival of Janamashtami.
