Doha: The students of DPS Modern Indian School Theertha Aravind and Gouthami Gireesh Varma yet again pulled off the brilliant and loftiest percentage in the CBSE class X examination 2020-21.
They notched up crème de la crème position among all the CBSE schools all across the world and are ranked 1 in the entire Gulf region too, said the school in a statement.
A student of DPS-Modern Indian school from class Nursery, Theertha has opted for Physics, Chemistry , Mathematics and Computer Science as her majors in Grade XI. She strongly believes that there are no short cuts to achieve one’s goals. ‘Follow a time table, concentrate, prepare and be confident’ was her mantra to success.
The CBSE Class 10 topper appreciates the CBSE evaluation formula which centres around the performance throughout the year and expresses her immense gratitude towards her school and parents who were instrumental in her saga of success.
“My teachers motivated me and guided me at every step and my parents were my pillars of strength. Whenever I felt tensed, they patted me and told me that hard work always pays off and this helped me calm my nerves,’ said the passionate dancer and voracious reader,” said Theertha.
Goutami, with a whopping score of 499/500, wants to follow the footsteps of her father and become a doctor. ‘It allows you to impact human life in a way that is truly unique’, with these words she expresses her responsibility towards the society.
Goutami has taken up Science with Biology and Math in class XI. While her mother is an engineer, her father is a doctor. She also has a younger sister studying in class III. She owes her success to her school and parents. “My parents imbibed in me the values of tolerance, responsibility, self-control, honesty, integrity, perseverance and gratitude, whereas my teachers’ dedication and compassion always inspired me,” said Goutami.
“Above all, my school ensured uninterrupted online classes and gave us a comfortable schedule to prepare well for the examination,” said the travel enthusiast who loves novelty and exploration.
Principal Asna Nafees congratulated the students and the teachers for the magnificent feat ushered in by their combined efforts.
