Doha, Qatar: Women’s Quran learning centres affiliated with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs have recorded an overall success rate of 87% in the 19th academic session for 2025-2026, reflecting sustained demand for Quranic education and the effectiveness of their specialised learning programmes.
The final results showed that 14,808 female students sat for the examinations out of 15,443 enrolled during the academic year, with 13,476 students successfully passing. The programme was conducted across 30 women’s Quran centres located in different parts of Qatar.
The results also highlighted the growing popularity of the centres, with 4,364 new students joining during the current session, a 6% increase compared with the previous year. The rise underscores increasing community confidence in the centres’ educational programmes and their role in promoting Quranic learning and values among women and girls.
A total of 63 students successfully graduated after completing Quran memorisation examinations, while 12 others graduated after completing Quran recitation examinations.
The achievement reflects the continued efforts of Quran teachers, supervisors and educational administrations in supporting students and helping them reach advanced levels of proficiency.
The centres offered five specialised educational programmes designed to accommodate different age groups and learning levels. The “Taj Al Wagar” programme recorded the highest enrolment, with 10,135 students and an 86% success rate.
The “Fi Dhilal Al Quran” programme, which attracted 3,463 students, achieved a success rate of 91%. The “Al Ghanimah” programme and the “Athban wa Salsalan” recitation track each recorded a 93% success rate, while the “Qutoof Daniyah” programme achieved an 89% success rate.
Performance indicators also showed strong results across various student categories. Mothers recorded the highest success rate at 94%, followed by expatriate communities at 92%, educated women at 88%, young children at 87%, and girls at 81%.
The results further showed that 58% of the students received an “excellent” grade, while 18% were rated “very good”, reflecting the high academic performance and commitment to accuracy in Quran memorisation and recitation.
The women’s Quran centres continue to provide an integrated educational environment focused on teaching the Quran, Tajweed and reflection on its meanings, while strengthening Islamic values, national identity and ethical principles derived from the Holy Quran.
The centres have also continued to develop their programmes in line with the needs of the community, incorporating modern educational methods and offering both in-person and distance-learning options. These approaches have helped broaden access, increase participation and provide greater flexibility for students.
