Doha: Dar Al Sharq will launch tomorrow the most popular newspaper from Bangladesh, Prothom Alo Weekly Gulf Edition, a Bengali language weekly from Doha.
“It’s yet another initiative by our integrated media house to connect the Bangladesh community,” said Neegal Noronha, Manager, Dar Al Sharq Foreign Publications. The newspaper will be a boon for the Bangladeshi community in Qatar and the region, he said. “Most expatriate communities in this region like to read newspaper in their language to know about their native place and what is happening in their country. The Gulf edition of Prothom Alo will meet their expectations as the publication will also provide local and community news.
Dar Al Sharq Foreign Publications prints/distributes International New York Times, Malayala Manorama, Chandrika, Varthamanam — three Malayalam daily newspaper, Pilipino Star NGAYON daily, Kantipur Weekly and Rajdhani International Weekly — both Nepali language newspaper, Lankadeepa Weekly, a Sinhalese language paper, Tamil Times weekly and Siasat Urdu weekly.
