Doha: Qatar Charity, Qatar Red Crescent Society, Sheikh Eid Bin Mohammad Al Thani Charitable Association, and Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Al Thani Foundation (RAF) have received donations from Qatar Petroleum (QP) staff for beneficiaries in Syria, the Philippines and Somalia. Cheques were handed over by Abdulrahman Abdulla Al Obaidly, Manager, Public Relations and Communications, QP, to representatives from the four organisations.
Each charity received three cheques for Syrian refugees, and for typhoon and cyclone victims in the Philippines and Somalia.
The total donation amounted to QR1,293,725. It was collected in three campaigns from November 2013 to June 2014. It will be used by the charities in partnership with counterparts in the three countries. The Peninsula
