Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has honoured outstanding Hajj campaign operators for their contributions to the successful organisation of the 1447 AH Hajj season, recognising their efforts to improve services, strengthen pilgrims’ awareness and provide a smooth and rewarding pilgrimage experience for people travelling from Qatar.

Assistant Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs at the Ministry Khalid Shaheen Al Ghanem, presented the awards in the presence of Director of the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs Ali Sultan Al Misifri. The recognition covered the three highest-ranked campaigns, as well as campaigns distinguished for their awareness programmes and activities during the season.

The initiative, guided by Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs H E Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanim, reflects the ministry’s commitment to promoting institutional excellence, encouraging innovation and raising the quality of services provided to Qatari pilgrims. It also aims to foster positive competition among campaign operators and encourage the adoption of best practices in organisation, service delivery and religious guidance.

Speaking at the ceremony, Khalid Shaheen Al Ghanem praised the efforts of the honoured operators and all campaign staff, noting that their services and specialised programmes had contributed to providing pilgrims with a positive experience and enabling them to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.

He said the recognition reflected the ministry’s commitment to appreciating outstanding performance and supporting continuous improvement in Hajj and Umrah services. Innovation and service development, he added, are essential to enhancing the overall pilgrimage experience.

Al Ghanem stressed that serving Qatar’s pilgrims is a national responsibility and a trust that requires coordinated efforts, teamwork and adherence to the highest standards of quality. He urged the honoured operators to maintain their achievements, continue developing their services and build on successful experiences in preparation for future Hajj seasons.

He emphasised that the awards were not an end in themselves, but an incentive to achieve further progress. He also called on all Qatari Hajj campaigns to strengthen positive competition and introduce innovative initiatives that improve service efficiency and enhance pilgrims’ satisfaction.
