Real estate transactions touch QR4.6bn

DOHA: Qatar’s real estate value touched QR4.6bn in November, up 35.3 percent, compared to the previous month. On year-on-year basis the transaction value is up 21 percent, Ezdan Holding’s monthly report noted yesterday.
According to the Ezdan report, Qatar’s real estate market gained momentum despite drop in oil prices and a 17.1 percent year-on-year decline in real estate stocks listed on the local bourse. The total traded real estate shares on Qatar Exchange during November was 24.2 million, down 56.3 percent compared to the previous month. The GCC real estate sector has also showed momentum especially in Saudi Arabia where the housing sector witnessed positive activities . Real estate market in UAE was stable in November.

Made in China Expo 2015 begins today 


DOHA: Over 100 reputable Chinese companies will display products in the Made in China Expo 2015, which will take palce in Doha Exhibition Center from today till Wednesday.
The Expo which will be displayed in an area of 5,000 sqm will provide with an ideal opportunity to the non-hydrocarbon industries in Qatar said Qatat Chamber (QC). QC yesterday announced that the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) will be the golden sponsor.
The exhibition which is being held in Qatar for the first time is hosted by Qatar Chamber under the patronage of Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdulla bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani. The agreement of sponsoring the exhibition was signed by Saleh Al Sharqi, QC Acting General Manager, and Sheikh Salman bin Hassan Al Thani, Chief Strategic & Business Development Officer. Al Sharqi said both QC and QFC are keen to develop the Qatari private sector and enhance national economic diversification. 
Sheikh Salman also paid tribute to QC’s efforts in supporting and encouraging ecommic partnership with other countries.
