DOHA: Qatar General Authority for Specifications and Standardisation has decided to implement new technical regulations for perfumes containing Ethanol. The regulation — QS No. GSO 1046:2001 for cosmetics and perfumes containing Ethanol — will be implement from February 15 to protect the health of users and combat commercial fraud.
The authority has given a grace period of seven months to traders to adhere to new specifications. It had announced earlier that it would introduce new technical specifications for imported cosmetics (non-medical).
