Strong winds, high seas expected tonight: Department of Meteorology

Doha, Qatar: Weather conditions inshore until 6am on Friday will be cold with some clouds and slightly dusty at times, the Department of Meteorology of Qatar said in its daily report.

Offshore, scattered clouds are expected at times, with a warning issued for strong winds and high seas.

Inshore winds will be northwesterly at 8–18 knots, gusting to 25 knots at times. Offshore winds will also be northwesterly, blowing at 14–24 knots and gusting to 34 knots at times.

Sea conditions inshore will range between 3 and 5 feet, while offshore seas will be 4 to 8 feet, surging to 11 feet at times.

Visibility both inshore and offshore is expected to be between 4 and 9 kilometres.
