ISTANBUL: Turkey purchased $6 billion worth of oil from Iran in 2012 and will continue oil imports from the Islamic Republic, Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz told Turkey's CNBC-E television on Friday.

Once reliant on Iran for more than half its crude oil imports, Turkey has reduced its purchases as the United States and European Union have tightened sanctions on the trade with Tehran. (Reuters)
