The annual cultural competition of Birla Public School, Birla Fest 2015, came to a close with a colourful spectale at the Basant Kumar Birla Auditorium. The students who won prizes for various on-stage and off-stage events were honoured during the closing ceremony.
Kalpana, a teacher, welcomed the gathering. The winners of art and literary competitions in the sub-junior and junior category were awarded certifcates and prizes.
Antony Biju of Grade IV-Ai was conferred the ‘Kalaprathibha’ title. He secured a grand total of 46 points from both on-stage and off-stage events. Smrithi Haridasan of Grade IV H was adjudged the ‘Best Peformer’. Pranai Narayan Venktesan of Grade III P, Rachna Susan Alex of III K and Edwin sebastian of Grade III M were awarded the ‘Best Artist’ prize in the sub-junior category.
The winners were honoured by A K Shrivastava, Principal, Shrily Rappai, Senior Vice Principal, George Edison, Vice Principal and Sindhu Manoj, HM – Activities.
Students presented dances and songs as part of a cultural programme after the prize distribution.
